Job Title: Diagnostic Medical Sonographer

We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our team at Pediatrix Medical Group. As a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality diagnostic ultrasound services to our patients.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct diagnostic ultrasound tests for patients, working closely with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.
  • Prepare patients for ultrasound examinations, explaining procedures and providing education on medical ultrasound.
  • Conduct ultrasonic diagnostic procedures, recording anatomical, pathological, and physiological data for interpretation by physicians.
  • Assist physicians during invasive procedures requiring ultrasound guidance.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to strict standards of patient care.
  • Code services performed and submit billing worksheets daily.
  • Notify Patient Service Associates of additional services requiring authorization.
  • Maintain proper operation of ultrasound equipment, recognizing malfunctions and taking corrective action.
  • Responsible for maintaining adequate inventory of ultrasound supplies.
  • Maintain archives/records scans.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, and the public.
Qualifications:
  • Current/valid certification in diagnostic ultrasound.
  • Satisfactory completion of an approved ultrasonography educational program or at least two years in an Allied Health Educational Program and one year on-the-job training in ultrasonography.
  • Maintain or be eligible for certification as an American Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer.
  • Provide evidence of continuing education credits to fulfill accreditation requirements.

The expected pay for this position ranges from $62.00 per hour, with actual pay computed based on years of relevant experience.
