ENGIE North America is seeking a skilled Solar Technician to join our team in the East Coast area. As a key member of our renewable energy team, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing solar panels and other renewable energy systems.
Key Responsibilities- Access tasks via SCADA, Maximo, or SAP software systems and perform technical repair work orders for solar panels.
- Manage documentation, update parts inventory, and submit on-site status reports.
- Coordinate high voltage switching activities with local utilities and independent system operators (ISO).
- Adhere to safety protocols, including conducting Site-Specific Orientations, Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and safety meetings.
- Minimum two (2) years diploma in a technical program with a focus on AC/DC electrical theory, reading blueprints, and industrial electrical equipment.
- Minimum two (2) years of experience in solar generation sites, wind generation sites, manufacturing, or mining operations.
- Must have or be willing to obtain certification as a substation technician within 12 months of hire date.
- Capacity to be on call as deemed necessary by supervisor.
