As a 25-bed critical access hospital, we provide essential healthcare services, including a Level 4 Trauma Center Emergency Room that handles around 3,200 visits each year. Our Surgical Services department is dedicated to delivering high-quality care, performing over 1,300 procedures annually across various specialties such as General Surgery, Orthopedics, ENT, Urology, Ophthalmology, Pain Management, and Podiatry.
With a legacy of over 75 years, we pride ourselves on our commitment to excellence, innovation, and robust financial health. Our organization has expanded to include three clinics, round-the-clock emergency services, and comprehensive inpatient and outpatient medical/surgical services. Recent investments in facility enhancements reflect our dedication to providing top-notch healthcare. Our team consists of more than 225 employees, with an average tenure of eight years, and we are currently engaged in multiple expansion initiatives as an affiliate of MercyOne.
Position Summary:
The Supply Control Clerk plays a crucial role in managing inventory levels within the department storeroom and designated areas of the hospital. Responsibilities include assisting with the receipt of materials ordered by hospital staff, accurately documenting the receipt of goods, and ensuring timely delivery of non-stock items to the appropriate departments. The clerk is also responsible for stocking shelves, fulfilling supply requisitions, and preparing items for return.
Work Schedule: PRN - As Needed - Days, Monday to Friday (Typical working hours are from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM)
Compensation: Starting at $15.74, with potential increases based on experience.
Qualifications:
A. Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
B. Experience: Previous experience in warehouse operations, receiving, stocking, and inventory management within a healthcare environment is preferred.
C. Skills: Strong attention to detail, reliability, and dependability are essential. Proficiency in 10-key data entry is required.
Physical and Cognitive Requirements:
A. Ability to walk, stand, and regularly lift 40-60 pounds.
B. Must possess the ability to hear and communicate effectively in person and over the phone. Visual acuity is necessary for reading and computer tasks.
