We are seeking a skilled Diesel Technician to join our team at Love's Travel Stops and Country Stores. As a Diesel Technician, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing light mechanical issues on diesel engines, as well as providing preventative maintenance services to our customers.
Key Responsibilities- Troubleshoot and repair light mechanical issues on diesel engines, including wheel-end assemblies, electrical systems, suspensions, A/C, and engine components.
- Assist customers with roadside services, including fueling, tire changes, and other emergency repairs.
- Provide preventative maintenance services, including oil changes, tire rotations, and other routine maintenance tasks.
- Work in a fast-paced environment, interacting with customers and drivers from all over the country.
- Ability to move, lift 75+ pounds, and work in close quarters.
- Ability to work in various temperatures and maintain a safe and clean work environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 2+ years of experience in diesel engine repair and maintenance.
- Ability to obtain a medical card through the Department of Transportation.
- Ability to work a rotating schedule, including nights and weekends.
