Legend Biotech is seeking an experienced Principal Scientist - Immunotherapy to join our Research and Early Development team in Piscataway, NJ. In this role, you will contribute to the development of innovative cell-based therapies and participate in the optimization of cell-based immunoassays.

The ideal candidate should have a Ph.D. in virology, immunology, or cell biology, with 3-5 years of experience in biotech or pharmaceutical industry, preferably in cell and gene therapy. You should have a strong background in molecular biology, vector design, gene editing, and animal model expertise.

You will work collaboratively with researchers, developers, and manufacturers to translate preclinical findings into clinical applications, driving the advancement of our mission to improve patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop cell and gene therapy platform and optimize cell-based immunoassays
  • Design experiments to optimize process parameters and enhance cell engineering and manufacturing capacity
  • Independently design and execute experiments, document and interpret scientific results, present data to cross-functional teams

Estimated Salary: $150,000 - $200,000 per year
