Welder Fabricator

ASGCO Manufacturing, Inc. is seeking a skilled Metal Fabricator/Welder to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and fabricating metal materials using various processes, including manual arc, tungsten inert gas, and metallic inert gas welding.

• Perform welding and fabrication tasks to ensure the availability and functioning of required items.
• Repair metal surfaces to ensure safe and efficient use of items.
• Install various items to complete projects safely and within established time frames.
• Maintain shop, equipment, tools, and vehicle to ensure the availability and functioning of required items and ensure safety.
• Coordinate with administration and other trades to complete projects/work orders efficiently.
• Request equipment and supplies to maintain inventory and ensure the availability of required items.
• Assist other trades personnel as needed to support them in completing their work activities.
• Transport various items to ensure the availability of materials required at the job site.
• Work well with limited supervision.
• Respond to emergency situations as needed and/or assigned to resolve immediate safety concerns.

• 5 or more years' experience with welding/fabrication, including one year of journey-level experience.
• Knowledge and skills to perform the job using band saws, grinders, break, shear, drill press, chop saw, and part painting.
• Knowledge of basic math or geometry.
• Ability to read a variety of manuals and follow prescribed formats with the ability to inform others and solve practical problems.
• Ability to maintain accurate records.
• Strong attention to detail and good interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
• Ability to lift 50lbs to 100lbs, bending, kneeling, reaching, and standing for long periods of time and significant fine finger dexterity.

• Frequently exposed to regulated noise, cold working conditions, and smells.
• May be required to work overtime on a needed basis.
