Role Summary: As a Lead Counselor, you will take on a leadership role for fellow counselors. This includes managing your own caseload, participating in various facility committees, and assisting with problem-solving, conflict resolution, and preparation for audits as required. You will collaborate with the Clinical Supervisor and Executive Director to foster a therapeutic environment for our clients.

Qualifications:

  • Licensure as a CADC, LCADC, LSW, LCSW, LAC, or LPC.
  • Bachelor's Degree and/or Certified Clinical Supervisor.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in substance abuse treatment, including at least two years in methadone maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act on behalf of the Clinical Supervisor/Director in their absence.
  • Assign cases to counselors.
  • Conduct weekly individual meetings with counselors to review case statuses and quarterly for ongoing supervision.
  • Facilitate weekly staff meetings with counseling staff.
  • Review counselor case files to ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Assist with annual performance evaluations of counseling staff.
  • Participate in Treatment Team Meetings and Grievance Hearings as necessary.
  • Perform intakes for new clients.
  • Provide counseling hours for each client on your caseload monthly, adhering to state requirements.
  • Develop preliminary and comprehensive treatment plans.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files per regulatory requirements.
  • Engage in case planning and consultation with the facility director and/or physician as needed.
  • Interpret policies and procedures to provide clinical supervision for staff and clients.
  • Assist the Facility Director with inspections and staff meetings as needed.
  • Utilize necessary software for daily functions.
  • Attend required meetings and ongoing training.
  • Support in-house training requirements.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Perform additional duties as required.
