EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED

MANDATORY WORK EXPERIENCE

  • Proficiency in cloud-native software development.
  • In-depth knowledge of conducting cloud operations in AWS or Azure environments.
  • Possession of a formal general security certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+, Cloud Security Alliance - Certificate of Cloud Security Knowledge, (ISC) 2 Certified in Cybersecurity / Systems Security Certified Practitioner, GSEC - Global Information Assurance Certification Security Essentials, Offensive Security Certified Professional, EC-Council Certified Ethical Hacker).
  • Formal security certification specific to cloud service provider platforms (e.g., AWS).
  • Certified Cloud Security Engineer/Architect.
  • Comprehensive understanding of cloud computing architectures, governance, risk management, business continuity, infrastructure security, virtualization and containers, incident response, application security, data security and encryption, as well as identity and access management.

PREFERRED WORK EXPERIENCE

  • Previous experience with agency (ECMA) or at least military experience.

KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the design and implementation of secure solutions and services within cloud environments.
  • Ensure successful configuration and deployment of cloud-based security solutions to mitigate risks to acceptable levels.
  • Address stakeholder security requirements to safeguard the organization's mission and business processes across all facets of enterprise architecture, including reference models, segment and cloud solution architectures, and the systems that support these missions.
  • Act as a cybersecurity Subject Matter Expert (SME) for architecture policies and procedures.
  • Provide cybersecurity management support to Program Management Offices throughout the acquisition lifecycle and into sustainment, as applicable.
  • Facilitate the identification and integration of cybersecurity controls from the onset of the acquisition lifecycle for emerging cloud capabilities.
  • Serve as a principal liaison for enterprise-level boundary defense initiatives, ensuring consistent identification and implementation of applicable cybersecurity controls in alignment with agency cybersecurity and cloud architecture, as well as NIST security guidelines.
  • Oversee the design and implementation of enterprise-level cybersecurity solutions, establishing standards for access control capabilities across the organization.
  • Develop technical solutions to complex challenges.
