About the Job

Aureus Medical Group - Therapy is seeking a skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join their team as a travel healthcare professional.

Job Summary

This is a 22-week contract position, requiring the candidate to work 40 hours per week, with an 8-hour shift. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a rehabilitation or geriatrics setting and possess basic speech/language pathology skills.

Responsibilities
  • Provide speech-language pathology services to patients in a skilled nursing setting
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to meet patient needs
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care
  • Conduct assessments, evaluations, and interventions to address communication and swallowing disorders
  • Document patient progress and maintain accurate records
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field
  • Current state license to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Iowa
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
