Overview:


The Revenue Accounting Specialist is responsible for executing various accounting tasks, including managing accounts payable and receivable, maintaining general ledgers, and supporting the monthly closing processes.

This role reports directly to the Accounting Manager and/or Invoicing Manager.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Analyze and reconcile financial accounts.

2. Assist in the monthly closing process in collaboration with different departments.

3. Actively participate in monthly closing activities, including the preparation of journal entries for unbilled revenues, deferred revenues, and prepaid expenses.

4. Calculate revenue figures for clients.

5. Provide clients with weekly and monthly invoices along with necessary supporting documentation.

6. Review and summarize customer contracts to ensure accurate and timely invoicing.

7. Oversee financial transactions and ensure timely processing of invoices.

8. Calculate monthly revenue accruals across multiple locations.

9. Assist in the onboarding process for new customers.

10. Upload manual accounts receivable invoices into the financial system.

11. Collaborate with Sales, Operations, Finance, Planning & Analysis, and Accounting teams to enhance efficiencies and establish best practices in revenue processing.

12. Build cross-functional relationships with Sales and Operations teams.

13. Work with the IT department on system integration and invoicing processes.

14. Communicate issues effectively and contribute to developing solutions.

15. Provide support during audits for control and substantive testing.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.

- 2-3 years of relevant experience in the accounting field.

- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.

- Strong time management capabilities.

- Keen attention to detail.

- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

- Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.

- Capability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

- Professional interaction with all organizational levels and external clients.

- Knowledge of US GAAP and the ability to accurately recognize and record revenue in compliance with these standards.
