Job Overview

Position Title: Information Systems Security Management, Expert

Location: On-site

Experience Requirements:

Role Responsibilities:

As an expert in Information Systems Security Management, you will:

  • Support the Risk Management Framework (RMF) workflow and processes by proposing, coordinating, implementing, and enforcing information system security policies, instructions, standards, and methodologies.
  • Review and authorize customer requests related to access, devices, and other permissions.
  • Maintain up-to-date system information to meet organizational requirements and processes.
  • Evaluate the impact of network and system modifications using RMF processes and approve necessary changes.
  • Oversee multiple projects throughout the Authorization and Accreditation (A&A) process from inception to Authority to Operate (ATO).
  • Collaborate with system stakeholders to address vulnerabilities identified in Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms).
  • Provide recommendations for system configuration deviations from established baselines.
  • Conduct regular reviews to ensure compliance with Security System Plans (SSP).
  • Ensure that configuration management for security-relevant information system software, hardware, and firmware is maintained and documented.
  • Monitor system recovery processes to guarantee that security features and procedures are properly restored.
  • Ensure all information security-related documentation is current and accessible to authorized personnel.
  • Notify relevant individuals of any changes that may impact authorization.
  • Participate in governance and project reviews as identified by the customer.
  • Demonstrate strong documentation skills to create and update policies, process documentation, and procedures.
  • Utilize tools such as XACTA 360, Continuum, and other SCAP Compliant tools effectively.
  • Exhibit demonstrated experience with RMF, ICD 503, CNSSI 1253, NIST SP 800-53/53A, and STIGs.

Educational Background:

Bachelor's Degree in an IT-related field is required.

  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
  • Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)
  • NIST Cybersecurity Framework (NCSF)
  • AWS Solutions Architect Associate or Professional
