Job Summary:
RAYUS Radiology is seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our Travel Technologist team for 13-week assignments nationwide. As a member of our internal travel team, you will have the opportunity to build your skill set on multiple systems and work with a leading imaging company in the United States.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Imaging (75%):
- Perform routine and advanced MRI procedures on designated portions of the body for use by physicians in the diagnosing and treating of patient illness and/or injury with minimal amount of supervision or repeats.
- Screen patients before exams for any precautions or contraindications pertaining to the examination.
- Prepare patients for MR procedures, explaining the procedure, positioning patients so that the parts of the body can be appropriately scanned, and providing patient support throughout the procedure.
- Adjust scan parameters correctly and as needed.
- Maintain positive attitudes and working relationships with radiologists, referring customers, and other associates and peers.
- Converse with doctors, nurses, patients, and family members as required.
- Follow physicians' orders precisely and conform to safety regulations to protect themselves, their patients, and coworkers.
- Accurately maintain patient records within Radiology Information System (RIS) and PACS.
- Maintain an orderly and clean work area, promoting good safety habits for patients and coworkers.
- Imaging Support (20%):
- Maintain equipment in good working order, cleaning and disinfecting equipment after each use.
- Assist with maintaining an updated MRI protocol manual and software upgrades.
- Assist with training of new associates, providing resource and technical expertise.
- Other Duties (5%):
- Perform other duties as assigned.
