About the Role

As a Client Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing operational support to our Financial Advisors, helping them to deliver tailored wealth management solutions to our clients. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Client onboarding coordination, including managing prospect pipelines, generating proposals, and preparing new account paperwork.
  • Gaining knowledge of and leveraging partnerships with Baird's Corporate Resource Groups to provide the best wealth management solutions to clients.
  • Answering incoming phone calls, handling client needs, and advising Financial Advisors on action taken.
  • Scheduling client appointments and conference rooms as needed.
  • Assembling and generating materials for client meetings, including paperwork and reports.
  • Ensuring business adherence with firm and financial industry regulatory policies.
  • Managing Financial Advisor and team social media presence, including website, LinkedIn, and Twitter.
  • Maintaining Client Relationship Management (CRM) systems for Financial Advisors and leveraging the platform to manage client relationships.
  • Organizing and coordinating seminars and client events at the direction of Financial Advisors.
  • Seeking ways to enhance Financial Advisor business effectiveness and marketability.
  • Initiating and completing transactions required to fully service client accounts, including paperwork, correspondence, and client request fulfillment.
  • Entering security orders, including stocks, bonds, fixed income, options, annuities, and other investment vehicle orders per Financial Advisors' instructions or upon client's verbal direction.

What We Look For

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual with:

  • 2+ years of prior industry and/or administrative work experience.
  • Active Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) Exam, Series 7, and Series 66 or Series 63 and Series 65 licenses or be willing to study and obtain within 18 months of hire.
  • A focus on excellent client service.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) with the ability to learn and effectively navigate Baird's Private Wealth Management technology platforms.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to adeptly exchange ideas and information.
  • Detail-oriented with an emphasis on accuracy.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize workflow and achieve specific goals in a timely manner.
  • Understanding of compliance regulations and correspondence policies, with the ability to maintain client confidentiality in all situations.
  • Good analytical and critical problem-solving skills.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required.
