Job Summary:

The Refrigeration Technician at Creekstone Farms is responsible for ensuring the optimal performance of plant equipment to maintain maximum uptime for production, quality, and yields, while prioritizing a safe work environment. This role oversees the maintenance and repair of ammonia refrigeration systems, boilers, and water systems, as well as utility equipment such as steam, water, air, and standby systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing continuous improvement of preventative and corrective maintenance policies, procedures, and reporting systems. Additionally, they will participate in HAZMAT team assignments, assist in the Emergency Response Program, and evacuate the plant as needed. This role requires physical capability to perform duties while wearing a respirator and staying up-to-date on required company trainings. May require travel for further education and training opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversees the maintenance and repair of ammonia compressors, condensers, receivers, evaporators, and pumps, water softeners, water pumps, hot water heaters, water filters, and reservoirs, compressor turbines, and motors, and auxiliary power sub-station and main electric control panel boards.
• Maintains utility equipment such as steam, water, air, and standby systems, including temperature controls, thermostats, meters, and temperature and pressure recorders.
• Develops and implements continuous improvement of preventative and corrective maintenance policies, procedures, and reporting systems.
• Participates in HAZMAT team assignments and assists in the Emergency Response Program and plant evacuation as needed.
• Ensures compliance with Process Safety Management program rules and regulations.
• Maintains physical capability to perform duties while wearing a respirator and stays up-to-date on required company trainings.
