Job Description:

FlexStaff is seeking a travel Diagnostic Imaging Specialist for a 13-week assignment in Queens, New York. As a crucial member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional patient care and providing high-quality imaging services.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare patients for examination and ensure their comfort and safety throughout the process.
  • Explain procedures in clear and concise terms, alleviating patient anxiety and promoting trust.
  • Set up equipment and administer procedures efficiently and effectively.
  • Screen patients according to protocol and obtain consent when necessary.
  • Perform MRI procedures, including abdominal, thoracic, neurological exams, and extremities.
  • Key in patient history data and other pertinent information obtained from requisitions completed by referring physicians.
  • Calculate scan requirements based on patient size and operate equipment to obtain required images.
  • Contact radiologists to review and determine additional scanning needs.
  • Operate equipment for image transfer, archival, and PACS system management.
  • Assist radiologists with I.V contrast administration and monitor patient conditions during examinations.
  • Promptly report changes in patient condition or motor abnormalities.
  • Perform minor repairs, calibration checks, and troubleshoot mechanical issues as needed.
  • Recognize and report major problems to management for prompt resolution.
Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you must possess excellent communication skills, be detail-oriented, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Strong technical skills and knowledge of imaging procedures are essential.

FlexStaff offers a competitive compensation package, which includes an estimated $85,000 - $110,000 salary range based on 8-hour shifts and 40 hours per week, plus tax-free stipends for meals, lodging, and travel.
