Job Responsibilities and Qualifications

The Medical Staff Services Coordinator plays a crucial role in credentialing and medical staff operations, adhering to the established scope of practice and overall care philosophy at Rose Medical Center. Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating and documenting all medical staff department activities to ensure compliance with bylaws and regulatory standards.
  • Assisting with credentialing and privileging processes for medical staff and advanced practice professionals.
  • Managing departmental administrative tasks, including handling provider badge functions and document management.

Key skills required for this position include:

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask effectively.
  • Attention to detail for preparing credentialing documents and maintaining accurate records.
  • Effective communication skills to convey information clearly and concisely.
  • Ability to build productive relationships with management and medical staff leaders.
  • Proficiency in medical terminology and knowledge of TJC standards.
  • Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office applications.

Qualifications:

  • Preferred certifications: CMSC or CPCS, with NAMSS/CAMSS membership preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred; Associate's Degree required, with coursework in Business or Communications preferred.
  • Experience in hospital medical staff credentialing and privileging is essential, along with a background in executive secretarial roles.
