Research Scientist

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Research Scientist to join our team at Northwell Health. As a Research Scientist, you will assist in performing investigative research under the mentorship of a senior investigator in a particular area(s) of study. Your primary responsibility will be to publish and present data in a timely manner. You will work collaboratively with other investigators to facilitate their scientific research and training. Additionally, you will participate in various types of institute and community activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform research projects as directed, following and adhering to experimental protocols in a proficient and meticulous manner.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret research data related to specific projects.
• Submit manuscripts and abstracts for publication to peer-review journals and presentations at local, national, and international conferences.
• Perform various tasks, including correspondence, attending meetings, database maintenance, maintaining records, charts, etc.
• Responsible for all other activities, clinical and administrative, as needed.
• Provide technical direction to research staff.
• Operate with direct guidance, and work assignments are generally straightforward and of moderate complexity.
• Perform related duties as required.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Philosophy required.
• 0-1 years of relevant experience, required.
