Responsibilities
  • Residential Standards:
    • Clean and sanitize all common areas, including offices, lobbies, and restrooms, according to established schedules.
    • Empty trash and recyclables daily, and maintain a clean and organized trash room.
    • Polish and clean furniture, fixtures, and equipment in common areas.
    • Dust and clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors.
    • Steam clean or shampoo carpets as needed, and strip, seal, and finish floors as required.
    • Notify management of any maintenance or repair needs, and complete service requests as necessary.
    • Set up and arrange decorations, tables, and chairs for events, and remove them afterwards.
    • Perform other related duties as assigned.
  • Preferred Knowledge/Experience/Ability:
    • A high school diploma or equivalent, and professional knowledge of business operations.
    • Ability to follow detailed instructions, and work independently with minimal supervision.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with residents, staff, and vendors.
    • Ability to lift and exert up to 25 pounds, with chemicals.
    • Prior housekeeping experience preferred, but willing to train.

Your Role

As a Housekeeper/Cleaner, you will be responsible for building community, enhancing environments, channeling resources, and building leaders. You will work closely with your Program Coordinator to spread the word about upcoming events and foster a strong sense of community participation.

What You'll Be Up To
  • Building Community:
    • Work closely with your Program Coordinator to promote community events and foster participation.
  • Enhancing Environments:
    • Champion the use of garden boxes and beehives, promoting a greener, more sustainable environment.
    • Participate in community enhancement projects, such as our annual Impact Day.
  • Channeling Resources:
    • Establish connections with vendors and potential partners to support community needs.
    • Share relevant information and contact details with your Program Coordinator.
  • Building Leaders:
    • Educate residents about the program and inspire their involvement as resident facilitators.
    • Guide interested residents through the sign-up process, nurturing the next generation of community leaders.
