Gatehouse Attendant

This role is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to residents and visitors at our property. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for our community and will be responsible for ensuring a safe and secure environment for all.

• Provide friendly and professional greetings to residents and visitors, ensuring a positive first impression of our community.
• Operate the access control system, recording all traffic entering and exiting the property.
• Provide informational assistance to residents and visitors, including directions and answers to questions about the property.
• Monitor and report any incidents or concerns to the Management Office and Security personnel.
• Maintain a clean and organized gatehouse, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all.
• Ensure that only authorized personnel have access to the community.
• Use proper telephone etiquette when answering calls, greeting all callers with a friendly and professional tone.
• Report any building deficiencies or maintenance issues to the Chief Engineer and Management Office.

• A positive attitude and willingness to work with a diverse population.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience in a gatehouse or customer service role.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Detail-oriented and dependable.

This role is often located away from the management office and may be located in a small structure. The working environment may be indoors or outdoors.

The physical demands of this role include sitting, standing, reaching, lifting, bending, kneeling, stooping, climbing, pushing, and pulling items weighing 30 pounds or less.

This is a full-time non-exempt position. Days and hours of work will be determined by the property, and may change to accommodate business needs.
