Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at La Quinta Inn & Suites. This is a great opportunity for a professional with a passion for maintaining the excellent condition and functionality of our properties.

Salary: $45,000 - $60,000 per year (based on experience)

Key Responsibilities
  • Survey Buildings and Repair Mechanical Systems: Ensure that all buildings are consistent with health and safety standards by conducting thorough surveys and performing necessary repairs.
  • Maintain Electrical Systems: Replace light bulbs, clean and repair circuit breaker panels, and perform other tasks as needed to ensure electrical systems are functioning properly.
  • Assist with HVAC and Plumbing Systems: Set up and repair ventilation, refrigeration, and other systems to maintain heating and plumbing functionality.
  • Inspect Alarm Systems: Schedule repairs when necessary to ensure fire protection systems are in working order.
  • Perform Manual Repairs: Fix locks, replace windows, and conduct other manual repairs as required.
  • Pest Control: Conduct spraying of insecticide and other pest control activities as needed.
  • General Upkeep: Perform general upkeep procedures such as landscaping and other tasks assigned.

Requirements:

  • Proven Experience: Must have proven experience as a maintenance technician.
  • Basic Understanding: Have a basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and other systems.
  • Knowledge of General Maintenance: Possess knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods.
  • Working Knowledge of Tools: Have a working knowledge of tools, common appliances, and devices.
  • Manual Dexterity: Exhibit manual dexterity and problem-solving skills.
  • Physical Condition: Be in good physical condition and possess strength with a willingness to work overtime.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; Certificate in HVAC, building maintenance technology, or relevant field preferred.
  • Certification: Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) desired.
