Cumberland University is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Aid Advisor to join our team. As a Financial Aid Advisor, you will play a critical role in assisting prospective, current, and past students with the financial aid process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Aid Processing: Timely process financial aid paperwork and ensure accurate and timely information.
  • Student Support: Provide exceptional customer service to students, parents, faculty, and staff, answering questions and conducting follow-up communications as needed.
  • Data Collection and Verification: Collect and verify data to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • Financial Aid Counseling: Counsel prospective students and their families regarding financial assistance and possibilities for aid at Cumberland University.
  • Award Packaging: Package aid for assigned caseload using federal, state, and institutional guidelines.
  • Award Letter Completion: Complete award letters for assigned caseload as awards and student applications are received and processed.
  • Professional Development: Maintain current knowledge of financial assistance in Higher Education through studies or seminars.
Requirements
  • Education: Associate degree required; Bachelor's degree or higher preferred.
  • Experience: 1-2 years' work experience in a related field.
  • Skills: Excellent oral communication skills, record keeping and reporting skills, filing skills, organizational skills, and computer knowledge and skills.
