Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Electrical/Mechanical Assembler to join our team at NOV, Inc. in Houston, TX.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assembly and Testing: Assemble production tools from hydraulic and electrical blueprints and verbal instructions, ensuring accuracy and quality.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Handle, disassemble, clean, and reassemble mechanical and electrical assemblies, perform parts inventory, and generate parts lists based on blueprints.
  • Electrical Systems: Terminate wires into electrical boxes and point-to-point wiring in 12v, 460v, and 600v systems.
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot production tools, repair if necessary, and communicate with project planners to resolve problems related to production parts or blueprints.
Requirements:
  • Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent, minimum 2-years experience in heavy equipment assembly or maintenance, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience.
  • Technical Skills: Experience in the assembly of hydraulic/electrical components and systems, technical education, product knowledge, or experience desirable.
  • Physical Demands: Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs, possess a mechanical and electrical aptitude, install, inspect, maintain, operate, troubleshoot, and repair various mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and electronic equipment.
