Critical Care Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant for Cleveland Clinic

Cleveland Clinic Foundation is seeking a highly skilled Critical Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our esteemed team at Mercy Hospital. Job SummaryThe successful candidate will provide high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with attending intensivists, working 24/7 to ensure seamless coverage of day and night shifts. As an integral member of our Critical Care Advanced Practice Team, you will be responsible for managing complex health conditions, performing advanced assessments, and developing treatment plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.
Duties and Responsibilities- Patient Evaluation and Management: Conduct thorough medical histories, perform physical examinations, and initiate appropriate lab tests to establish a record of the patient's current health status and develop a working diagnosis and treatment plan.
- Rapid Response and Code Coverage: Participate in rapid response teams and code blue situations, utilizing your expertise to provide critical care interventions.
- Procedural Skills: Perform specialized procedures, including blood draws, IV starts, thoracentesis, and paracentesis, under the direction of the physician.
- Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with nursing, medical, and other healthcare team members to ensure quality patient care, participating in medical rounds and collaborating on treatment plans.
- Education: MSN required upon hire or within 3 years of hire for external hires and internal moves from a non-APRN licensed role to an APRN licensed role. Graduate of an accredited APRN training program.
- Certifications: Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in applicable state. National certification as Advanced Practice Registered Nurse by nationally accredited organization recognized by state Board of Nursing, current licensure by applicable state Board of Nursing.
- Work Experience: Two years clinical advanced practice nursing experience preferred.
The estimated salary for this position is $120,000 - $150,000 per year, based on industry standards and location. Additionally, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, paid time off, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
