Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Department Team Lead - Farm Operations to join our team at Seaboard Foods. This individual will be responsible for ensuring the health and well-being of our swine herd, while also supervising employees in the finisher department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure all standard operating procedures are being followed and facilities are in good working condition.
  • Maintain high herd health and adhere to all biosecurity protocols.
  • Train employees on day-to-day processes and procedures to develop a competent workforce.
  • Supervise and schedule groups of employees, and act as manager when the supervisor is not present.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports of animals, employees, and supplies on the farm.
  • Assist in ensuring that all weekly and daily reports are turned in timely and accurately.
  • Adhere to all safety procedures and follow assigned medication and vaccination protocols.
  • Maintain the alarm system and emergency systems, and answer alarm calls properly.

Requirements

  • Associate degree (A.A) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be proficient in English language, reading and writing.
