Bennett Engineering Services is seeking a highly skilled Senior Traffic Engineer to lead our team in Sacramento. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for preparing traffic studies and designs with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage work scope, schedule, and budget of traffic engineering design projects
- Prepare plans, specifications, and construction cost estimates for traffic signals, lighting, ramp metering, transportation electrical systems, signing, pavement delineation, and construction stage traffic handling
- Prepare traffic operations analysis to support traffic design projects
- Prepare proposals for traffic engineering design projects
- BS in Civil or Electrical Engineering
- Registered as a Professional Engineer in Civil, Electrical, or Traffic Engineering. preferably in California. If registered outside California, it is expected to be registered in California within 2 years
- 10+ years of experience in preparing plans, specifications, and cost estimates for traffic signals, lighting, ramp metering, transportation electrical systems, signing, pavement delineation, and construction stage traffic handling
- Effective communication skills, written and verbal
- Proficiency in using MicroStation and/or AutoCAD
- Knowledge of using AGI and/or VISUAL photometric analysis software
- Knowledge of using Auto-Turn software
- Knowledge of using Synchro and SimTraffic traffic analysis software
