Job Summary

Lone Star College is seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Faculty member to teach Education courses. The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree and a passion for teaching and learning.

The Adjunct Faculty member will be responsible for teaching Education courses at a variety of times and locations, creating engaging lessons that promote student involvement and application of the material, and evaluating students to measure their progress in achieving course objectives.

The successful candidate will have excellent oral and written communication skills, the ability to appreciate alternative viewpoints, and a commitment to academic excellence and exceptional service.

The work is sedentary, and the employee will sit comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some walking, standing, bending, carrying of light items, or driving an automobile.

The Adjunct Faculty member will be required to meet with classes at all scheduled times and be available to students outside of class instruction.

Responsibilities

  1. Teach Education courses at a variety of times and locations
  2. Create engaging lessons that promote student involvement and application of the material
  3. Evaluate students to measure their progress in achieving course objectives
  4. Meet with and advise students either before or after class or by appointment, electronic communication, or other appropriate methods
  5. Utilize a course syllabus for each course, following established institutional guidelines
