About the Role

Clever Benefits is a pioneering startup revolutionizing healthcare and benefits management using AI. We're blending innovation, expertise, and technology to empower employees with smarter, more accessible benefits solutions.

We're seeking a Senior Mobile Developer to lead the development of our mobile platform. As a core team member, you'll work closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to build high-performance, user-friendly applications that transform the health benefits experience.

This is a non-remote position, and we're building amazing health-tech in our offices in Charleston, South Carolina.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop scalable, high-quality mobile applications using React Native.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
  • Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
  • Diagnose and fix bugs and performance bottlenecks for a fast, seamless user experience.
  • Maintain code quality, organization, and automation.
  • Mentor and guide junior developers in best practices.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in mobile development and healthcare tech.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of professional experience in mobile development.
  • Strong expertise in React Native and its core principles.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, and other modern front-end technologies.
  • Experience with RESTful APIs, third-party libraries, and frameworks.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Firebase) and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with app store deployment processes for both iOS and Android.
  • Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • A passion for healthcare technology and improving people's lives through innovation.

  • Familiarity with native mobile development (iOS/Android).
