Our Mission
J.W. Pepper's distribution center is actively seeking to fill multiple roles focused on order processing and inventory management. This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours of work per week, Monday through Friday, from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM. Candidates must demonstrate flexibility to meet seasonal overtime demands, which may include evening and weekend hours. The starting wage for this position is $16.00 per hour. All applicants must successfully complete pre-employment screenings, including background checks and drug tests.
Job Responsibilities
- **Order Fulfillment**: Utilize RF scanner technology for accurate order picking. Ensure completeness and precision in all orders, adhering to company standards for quality and efficiency.
- **Quality Control and Shipping**: Conduct thorough checks, packaging, invoicing, and manifesting of customer orders, ensuring compliance with company quality and productivity benchmarks.
- **Inventory Management**: Engage in stock put-away, replenishment, and other essential inventory tasks using RF scanning tools.
To enhance customer service, all warehouse associates will receive cross-training to develop proficiency in various warehouse functions as needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to perform accurate counting and basic mathematical calculations.
- Capacity to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Physical ability to twist, stoop, squat, reach above shoulder level, and crouch frequently.
- Capability to lift up to 30 lbs regularly.
- Proficiency in pushing/pulling carts and climbing ladders.
- Flexibility to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong adherence to safety protocols and ability to follow directions.
- Capacity to manage stress associated with meeting tight deadlines.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
- Positive attitude and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Training opportunities are available for operating forklifts and electric pallet jacks.
Other duties may be assigned as necessary.
