Inventory Management Specialist

As a Materials Management Specialist II at Owensboro Health, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our supply chain. Your primary responsibility will be to monitor, stock, and transport supplies and equipment for assigned areas within the organization.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor and maintain accurate stock levels to prevent overstocking or understocking.
- Identify, remove, and dispose of defective or expired items to maintain a high-quality inventory.
- Ensure timely delivery of supplies and equipment as needed and requested, working closely with cross-functional teams to resolve any issues.
- Investigate and troubleshoot any inventory issues or problems, using critical thinking skills and decisive judgment to resolve them efficiently.
- Maintain accurate tracking records for all inventory, including updates to the Omnicell database.
- Transfer and credit stock to departments in the inventory system, ensuring seamless inventory management.
- May be required to travel to off-site locations to deliver supplies, using a variety of equipment such as hydraulic lifts, fork lifts, and pallet jacks.
- May be responsible for receiving packages from the loading dock and confirming receipts in Workday via purchase order number.
- May investigate and troubleshoot Omnicell issues, clearing machines and correcting inventory as needed.
- May conduct cycle counts to ensure inventories are accurate and up-to-date.
- May fill in for absent staff members and assist with other job responsibilities as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience preferred.
- No licensure, certification, or registration required.
