Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team at Southern Oregon Home Health, a part of LHC Group. As an Occupational Therapy Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to patients in their homes, helping them to restore their physical abilities and improve their overall quality of life.

Responsibilities
  • Provide occupational therapy to patients in their homes, following established plans of care and state-specific laws governing occupational therapy in home care.
  • Work under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist to ensure that all treatments are evidence-based and within the scope of the occupational therapy assistant.
  • Observe, record, and report patient responses to treatment and changes in condition to the supervising OT, nurse supervisor, and/or physician.
  • Coordinate care with other healthcare team members as needed.
  • Instruct patients, families, caregivers, and other healthcare team members in areas of therapy within the scope of the occupational therapy assistant.
Requirements
  • Current OTA licensure in the state of Oregon.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Current driver's license and vehicle insurance, and access to a dependable vehicle or public transportation.
