Dental Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Dental Assistant to join our team at Stanwood Advanced Family Dentistry. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our dental team in delivering high-quality services.
Key Responsibilities- Greet and welcome patients, ensuring a positive and comfortable experience throughout their dental journey.
- Conduct thorough reviews of patients' health histories to provide quality care.
- Take and process x-rays and other diagnostic assessments using state-of-the-art technology.
- Provide superior chairside assistance to supported dentists during various procedures, adhering to the state dental practice act.
- Utilize Dentrix for patient scheduling and record keeping, ensuring accurate and efficient management of patient information.
- Prepare treatment rooms with strict adherence to safety protocols and follow OSHA & CDC recommendations.
- Manage supply and inventory levels, placing and expediting orders as needed.
- Partner with providers and team members to implement Heartland Dental systems and maximize office workflow.

Stanwood Advanced Family Dentistry is a unique and community-focused dental practice that values collaboration, communication, and patient-centered care. We are seeking a strong team player with prior dental experience to join our 11-person team.
Qualifications- Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
- Experience working in a fast-paced and customer-centric environment.
- If required under the state dental practice act, dental assistant certification and/or x-ray certification.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
The successful candidate will be able to perform essential duties satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodation. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties of the position.
Prolonged periods of sitting and standing are required, as well as the ability to lift and carry up to 45 pounds at times. Availability to attend virtual training sessions (or in-person) periodically throughout the year is also necessary.
