Overview:
The Senior Property Claims Representative plays a crucial role in ensuring the effective implementation of company policies and procedures in the management of commercial, residential, agricultural property, and property damage liability claims. This position aims to enhance the overall service quality provided to clients, thereby supporting business retention efforts.
In this role, you will be responsible for conducting thorough investigations, evaluations, and resolutions of claims, ensuring compliance with both contractual and legal obligations. Timeliness and fairness in service delivery to insured parties, claimants, and the organization are paramount.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-depth investigations and evaluations of property and casualty claims with minimal oversight.
- Maintain an expert understanding of various building types, construction methods, repair costs, and damage assessment techniques.
- Assist in training colleagues on damage assessment and repair estimation processes.
- Possess advanced knowledge of agricultural machinery, livestock, and household items.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in construction trades, agriculture, business administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- A minimum of five to seven years of experience in multi-line or property claims.
- Comprehensive understanding of insurance contracts and company policies.
- Exceptional listening and customer service skills.
- Proficient in estimating systems and construction methodologies.
- Access to high-speed internet for remote work.
- Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
- Professional designations such as INS, AIC, or similar are required.
Preferred:
- CPCU designation is preferred.
Note:
This position primarily serves various counties in Michigan. If a suitable candidate is not found, consideration may be given to a Property Claims Representative based on experience level.
Compensation:
Yearly Salary
