POSITION SUMMARY:
Under supervision, carry out standard cleaning duties to maintain a tidy and welcoming environment at all times. This is a part-time, union, event-related role. Candidates must be available for overnight and weekend shifts.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

Engage in the cleaning of various spaces within the facility, including but not limited to sweeping, mopping, vacuuming carpets, and disposing of waste in designated areas. Clean restrooms, restock supplies as needed, and address stains on carpets and upholstery. Wash windows both inside and outside the premises. Assist in the sorting of recyclables from waste and ensure proper disposal of these materials. Maintain cleanliness of equipment and areas as directed. Operate a walkie-talkie radio when necessary. Maintain a neat and professional appearance throughout the workday.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position does not have supervisory responsibilities. QUALIFICATIONS: To successfully perform this role, an individual must be able to complete each essential duty satisfactorily. The qualifications listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma or GED is required. Previous experience in similar roles is preferred.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Proficient in using small to medium-sized powered cleaning equipment (vacuums, blowers, window washing tools, etc.). Ability to listen and follow both verbal and written instructions. Capable of reading and understanding GHS Chemical Safety Program & SDS sheets to use required chemicals safely. Able to work safely from ladders and small lifts when necessary. Must understand and complete OSHA BBP Training requirements and follow procedures for cleaning up specific spills.

Qualified to operate various types of large powered cleaning equipment (floor scrubbers, buffers, sweepers, and carpet extractors) or willing to undergo necessary training to operate such equipment.

Must be able to work flexible hours, including daytime, evening, weekends, and holidays as needed. Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English is required. Must maintain a professional demeanor and appearance. Minimum age requirement is 18 years.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands outlined here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions. This position requires the ability to lift at least 50 lbs. without assistance. The role involves walking and standing for most of the assigned shift, as well as bending and stooping.

Tasks may be performed in challenging conditions at times (loud noise, dust, inclement weather, and moving vehicles may be present). The position also requires climbing and descending stairs with necessary equipment to complete assigned cleaning tasks. Union dues/fees shall apply.
