Job Summary:

As a Registered Professional Nurse with Finger Lakes Health, you will provide quality nursing care to patients in an effort to promote comfort and healing and achieve the best possible clinical outcomes. You will use the nursing process and approved nursing standards to provide safe and successful quality care. Additionally, you will provide ongoing education to both the patient and their families, maintain an appropriate level of knowledge and clinical expertise through continuing education, and work as part of the multi-disciplinary team to provide quality patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Provide quality nursing care to patients in an effort to promote comfort and healing and achieve the best possible clinical outcomes.
• Use the nursing process and approved nursing standards to provide safe and successful quality care.
• Provide ongoing education to both the patient and their families.
• Maintain an appropriate level of knowledge and clinical expertise through continuing education, inservice programs, departmental competencies, and self-development activities.
• Work as part of the multi-disciplinary team to provide quality patient care.
• Act on standing orders and work both on a team and independently on reports, with a provider, or managing a patient schedule.

Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current NYS RN license.
• BLS Certification through RQI after hire.
• One year experience in a healthcare setting.
• Ability to perform technical aspects of position, communicate effectively with patients and families, and handle confidential information with discretion.
• Excellent leadership, interpersonal, communication, analytical, and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Advanced degree in a related field.
• Experience with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Salary Range:
$39.50
