About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse II to join our Labor and Delivery team at Houston Methodist. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with physicians to deliver exceptional outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care to obstetric patients, including labor and delivery support
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
  • Monitor patient vital signs and respond to changes in patient condition
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
  • Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from an accredited institution
  • Twelve months of registered nurse experience in a healthcare environment
  • Texas RN license or temporary TX RN license, with permanent license obtained within 90 days
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification
  • Other credentials and certifications as defined by unit/service line
