Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate system vulnerabilities to identify security risks and recommend effective risk mitigation strategies.
- Ensure the implementation of robust security controls to protect digital assets and critical infrastructure.
- Oversee the entire Risk Management Framework (RMF) process, including the development of accreditation packages.
- Execute all necessary RMF steps to create Assessment and Authorization (A&A) packages in compliance with federal and Department of Defense (DoD) standards.
- Conduct ACAS scans and implement Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) on relevant systems or networks.
- Generate and maintain essential RMF documentation and artifacts.
- Monitor and update system records in the Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS).
- Perform cybersecurity testing and analysis, providing comprehensive vulnerability and risk assessment reports.
- Draft and manage Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms).
- Collaborate closely with the Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) and other security personnel to ensure compliance with federal regulations and cybersecurity best practices.
- Prepare detailed reports and updates on issues, recommendations, and overall status for stakeholders.
- Act as the primary point of contact for cybersecurity-related matters.
Qualifications:
- Proficient understanding of DODD 8500.1, DODI 8500.2, NIST SP 800-37, NIST SP 800-53, and other relevant cybersecurity frameworks.
- Strong communication skills for effectively conveying findings and recommendations.
- Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Visio.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment while also working independently.
- Capability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
- Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Experience with vulnerability scanning tools and security testing methodologies.
- Willingness to travel as required.
Education and Experience:
- A Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, computer science, IT, or a related field is required.
- At least one relevant certification such as Security+ CE, CGRC, or CASP+ CE.
- A minimum of three to five years of experience in RMF and A&A package development.
Clearance Requirements:
This position requires a government security clearance, and candidates must be U.S. Citizens capable of undergoing a full background investigation. An Active Secret Security Clearance is mandatory.
