Position Overview

The Pipeline Engineering Specialist will play a vital role in supporting tactical initiatives and managing engineering and construction documentation related to natural gas pipeline systems.

Key Responsibilities

As a Pipeline Engineering Specialist, your duties will include:

  • Preparing, reviewing, and organizing engineering documentation, material specifications, testing results, and construction records for natural gas pipeline projects, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Conducting independent research on electronic project files to validate records, perform gap analyses, identify missing information, and ensure documentation completeness.
  • Managing various records, including material test reports (MTRs), pressure testing documentation, Maximum Allowable Operating Pressure (MAOP) records, and nondestructive testing documentation (NDEs).
  • Working collaboratively with construction teams, engineers, project managers, and document control personnel to maintain accuracy and integrity of records.
  • Taking on additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Preferred: Associate's degree in a relevant field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, with a preference for pipeline-related experience.
  • Experience in operations or construction environments.
  • Familiarity with pipeline and facility construction processes and associated documentation.
  • Understanding of pipeline construction standards and material/project records.
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards including DOT 49CFR192, ASME B31.8, and ASME B31.3.
  • Ability to work independently and remotely with documentation while maintaining effective communication.
  • Strong commitment to safety practices.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities.
