Transformative Cancer Care at City of Hope
City of Hope is a leading national system dedicated to changing lives and making a real difference in the fight against cancer, diabetes, and other life-threatening illnesses. Our growing network includes clinical care locations across Southern California, a new cancer center in Orange County, California, and treatment facilities in Atlanta, Chicago, and Phoenix.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver prescribed and planned courses of radiation therapy to patients of all ages.
- Operate MRI control consoles for each patient's scan, selecting proper imaging techniques and operating various peripheral hardware.
- Reinforce recommendations given to patients by healthcare professionals concerning reactions to treatment and care of radiated areas, prevention, or treatment of generalized and local side effects.
- Perform simulation procedures as prescribed by physicians and assist in dosimetry procedures.
- Perform diagnostic testing on equipment, general maintenance, and quality assurance as necessary.
Requirements:
- High School or equivalent; Post High School Vocational/Specialized Training in an accredited Radiation Therapy Education Program.
- 3 years of radiation therapy experience with demonstrated strong technical leadership skills.
- Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology course plus radiation therapy course or Bachelor of Science in Radiation Therapy Program.
- Licensed by the California State Department of Health (Certified in Radiation Therapy).
- Certification by the ARRT - in Radiation Therapy CRT.
- BLS or CPR.
