Job Description

Job Title: Front Desk Advisor

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Front Desk Advisor to join our team at the Aveda Institute New Mexico. As a Front Desk Advisor, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, facilitating growth and productivity within the Institute, and ensuring that every guest receives the best experience possible.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guest Experience: Greet all guests upon arrival, determine their needs, and offer a beverage and a ritual if they are waiting for a service provider.
  • Service Provider Support: Check guests in and out, communicate schedule changes, and provide support to all service providers.
  • Product Knowledge: Be knowledgeable of Aveda products and provide education to guests.
  • Event Participation: Participate in Institute events and community events.
  • Sales and Revenue: Maintain benchmarks and monthly sales goals.
  • Team Collaboration: Communicate with Team Leaders and the Advisor team to ensure everyone is aware of what is happening on the service floor and retail area.

Requirements:

  • Passion for Nurturing: Be passionate about nurturing others in alignment with the Aveda Institute New Mexico mission and the Aveda mission.
  • Previous Experience: Previous retail experience, specifically in the beauty industry, is a plus.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
  • Availability: Must be able to work retail hours, including weekends, holidays, and special events.
  • Technical Skills: Demonstrated experience with computers.

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the team member is required to walk or stand for up to eight (8) hours at a time, sit, use hands to handle objects, reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, talk, and hear. The team member must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include vision and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the team member is exposed to a noise level that is usually minimal to moderate.
