About the Role:

We are seeking an exceptional Controller to manage our daily accounting functions and lead our accounting team at Astrolab.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
  • Review preparation of monthly financials, including journal entries, key statistics, various detailed analyses, budget fluctuations, account reconciliations, etc.
  • Ensure compliance with all financial regulations, including tax filings, and coordinate external audits as necessary.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field; CPA certification a plus.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in accounting or finance, including experience in a management role.
  • Direct experience in government contracting environment, including experience with different contract types (fixed price, time & materials, cost reimbursement, etc.).
