Overview

Job Description

The Student Pastor will be responsible for creating engaging and relational environments where students can connect with God and with each other. This role requires someone who is able to communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff members. The ideal candidate will have experience in student ministry and be able to think creatively when designing programs and activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Demonstrate outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, accompanied by a positive attitude, when engaging with students in grades 7-12.
  • Spiritual Growth and Development: Ensure the spiritual growth and development of students, guiding them to grow in their understanding of life in Christ and the values of the Christian faith.
  • Creative Program Design: Utilize creativity to design and implement new, innovative ways for students to engage with and learn about Christ.


Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • A Bachelor's degree (Bible school or seminary a bonus)
  • 2-3 years experience in a student ministry environment (preferred)
  • A demonstrated, vibrant walk with Jesus
  • Humble, yet passionate
  • Coachable
  • Highly relational and people focused
  • Collaborative team player
  • Aligns with GPC's vision to be discipleship-minded


Compensation

This role offers a competitive salary of $62,000 per year, plus full medical insurance provided (no cost to you), automatic 2% retirement match plus up to an additional 5%, fitness reimbursement, and book/meal allowance.
