Bo-Mac Contractors, Ltd. is seeking a skilled Structural Steel Fitter to join our team in the Greater New Orleans, LA area. As a Structural Steel Fitter, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and successful completion of our projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assemble and install structural steel components, including beams, columns, and other metal parts.
  • Use various tools and equipment, such as jacks, pry bars, hammers, saws, welding equipment, and files or grinders, to fit parts together accurately.
  • Work at heights and in confined spaces, requiring excellent balance, coordination, and physical stamina.
  • Collaborate with supervisors and coworkers to ensure compliance with safety procedures and project deadlines.
Requirements:
  • Constant lifting, carrying, standing, walking, stooping/crouching, reaching, grasping, and twisting.
  • Frequent climbing and kneeling.
  • Excellent vision, including acuity, depth perception, and field of vision.
  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members.
Preferred Experience:

We prefer candidates with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Structural Steel Fitter, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding performance expectations.
