Key Responsibilities:
  1. Deliver swim instruction following the Goldfish Swim School curriculum.
  2. Enforce safety protocols to prevent accidents and provide first aid when necessary.
  3. Assess student progress and complete necessary documentation promptly.
  4. Engage with parents/guardians regarding their children's swimming development.
  5. Act as a representative of Goldfish Swim School to ensure customer satisfaction.
  6. Utilize problem-solving skills to address challenges faced by students.
  7. Inspect pool areas for maintenance and cleanliness before and after classes.
  8. Manage pool equipment storage and lane line adjustments.
  9. Report incidents to management and complete required reports.
  10. Assist with deck teaching duties as needed.
  11. Occasionally perform light cleaning tasks such as window washing and trash removal.
  12. Participate in mandatory training sessions outside of regular hours.
  13. Fulfill additional responsibilities as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
  • A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
  • Experience as a certified lifeguard, youth sports coach, camp counselor, or childcare provider is required.
  • A minimum of two years of experience as a swimming instructor is preferred.
  • Certification in Lifeguarding, CPR/AED, and First Aid is mandatory; shallow water attendant certification is highly recommended.
Work Environment: This role involves regular exposure to warm and humid conditions, with a moderate noise level.

Each Goldfish Swim School operates as an independently owned franchise, with the franchisee serving as the employer at each location. Each franchisee has the discretion to establish their own wages, benefits, and employment terms, which may vary by location.
