As a travel nurse with Bluebird Staffing, you will be responsible for:

  • Performing a nursing assessment on all patients within 8 hours of admission.
  • Identifying teaching needs and goals related to the diagnosis of each patient.
  • Providing patient information and status in a timely manner for the Initial Team Conference and for Re-evaluation Team Conferences on a weekly basis.
  • Documenting all assessments, interventions, and patient response in the medical record in accordance with policy.
  • Participating in the patient rehabilitation program on an assigned unit.
  • Initiating discharge planning on all patients from the day of admission.
  • Initiating patient teaching in anticipation of the discharge date.
  • Communicating all pertinent information regarding changes in patients status from one care provider to another to support continuity of care and patient safety.
  • Providing direction, training, and supervision of ancillary nursing personnel.
  • Maintaining communication with manager and senior nursing staff related to service needs.

Bluebird Staffing Job ID #74207. Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
