Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Account Representative to join our team at Reno Behavioral Healthcare Hospital. As a key member of our Business Office, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely patient billing and financial services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Patient Admissions: Verify insurance information, interview patients or relatives, and enter data into our computer system with accuracy.
  • Census: Prepare and balance daily stats and update reports accordingly.
  • Financial Counseling: Estimate patient responsibility, provide financial options, and set up payment arrangements.
  • Daily Discharges: Prepare and ensure billing packets are complete.
  • Mail: Open and process mail, enter comments, and scan documents in Doclink.
  • Deposits: Prepare deposits for cash or checks received.
  • Refunds: Review AR for overpayments and prepare patient or insurance refunds.
  • CBO Inquires: Respond to emails from the CBO for claim resolution.
  • Reports: Download reports from AIS and work in proper format.
Requirements:
  • Knowledge and Experience: High school degree or equivalent, two years' healthcare experience preferred, knowledge of CPT/ICD-10 coding helpful.
  • Skills and Abilities: Maintains confidentiality, proficiency with software and equipment, strong organizational and communication skills.
