Job Summary:We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Occupational Therapist to design and implement naturalistic occupational therapy programs for young children aged 2-6 years in a center-based environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of early intervention and integrated care approaches, as well as excellent teamwork and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and execute comprehensive occupational therapy programs for young children with autism, focusing on gross motor, fine motor skills, feeding abilities, and daily activities.
- Conduct multidisciplinary assessments and develop treatment plans in collaboration with other clinical domains, including ABA, speech therapy, and psychology.
- Provide coaching and mentorship to a team of Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs), guiding them in integrating OT goals into their therapy sessions and supporting their professional development.
- Regularly monitor client progress, revising treatment plans and objectives as needed, and ensuring effective communication with team members and families.
- Forge strong partnerships with families, setting collaborative goals, fostering meaningful relationships, communicating progress, and offering dedicated coaching and support throughout their journey.
- A degree in Occupational Therapy with a focus on pediatrics or a similar field.
- Current licensure as a Occupational Therapist.
- Experience in working with children with autism or related developmental disorders.
- Strong understanding of and commitment to early intervention and integrated care approaches.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with a passion for supporting the growth and development of children with autism.
