Position Overview:

As a Local Class A CDL Truck Operator, you will be responsible for operating a tractor-trailer combination vehicle with a gross weight of at least 26,001 lbs. Your primary duty will be to transport and deliver various materials, whether in liquid, solid, or loose forms, to designated sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to all FMCSA and DOT regulations.
  • Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections on your vehicle.
  • Report any vehicle defects, accidents, or traffic violations promptly.
  • Perform basic maintenance tasks, including adding fluids and minor repairs.
  • Load and unload trailers as necessary.
  • Maintain compliance with all safety regulations set forth by FMCSA, OSHA, and the company.
  • Complete daily vehicle inspection reports (DVIR).
  • Participate in monthly safety training and quizzes.
  • Identify and rectify any safety hazards in the work environment.

Travel Requirements:

This role may involve travel outside of state lines as needed, with management retaining the right to adjust load pickups and drop-offs.

Qualifications:

  • Must possess a valid Class A CDL.
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience in truck driving.
  • Minimum age of 23 years.
  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug screening and background checks.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Must have a clean driving record.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • High School diploma or GED required.
