Key Responsibilities
  • Perform radiographic procedures and analysis according to departmental guidelines, using independent judgment and established policies and procedures.
  • Educate patients and families regarding procedures and treatments, and demonstrate professional behavior and conduct in all interactions.
  • Produce high-quality images and prepare and present them with other pertinent patient information for timely interpretation.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate documentation, and demonstrate competence in performing prescribed invasive and interventional procedures.
  • Perform and evaluate equipment quality control measurements, and maintain a safe environment for patients, personnel, and visitors.
  • Accountable for ethical, legal, and professional responsibilities related to radiology practice, including maintaining confidentiality of all work information.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Current BLS certification required.
  • Certificate or diploma from an approved or accredited school of radiology program.
  • Requires national certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and licensure by the state regulatory agency if applicable.
