**Production Craftsman Job Summary**

We are seeking an experienced Production Craftsman to join our team at QPS Employment Group. As a Production Craftsman, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining a clean and safe working environment, ensuring participation in safety programs and required trainings. You will also safeguard company property while maintaining an acceptable level of productivity.

**Key Responsibilities:**

• 
  
• Read work orders and perform work as assigned by the management team.
  
• Attach appropriate labels, documents, and tags to products and/or packages.
  
• Maintain production pace, while meeting daily production goals.
  
• Prepare surfaces of stained products prior to staining.
  
• Load and unload automated paint lines.
  
• Install glass panels into door panels.
  
• Hand-apply custom stains to door panels and entrance system parts.
  
• Use a shop management workflow software, including hand-held scanners, to facilitate the electronic movement of work orders, inventory, and other production critical parts through the production process.
  

**Requirements for Production Craftsman:**

• 
  
• High school diploma or equivalent or combination of education and experience.
  
• Experience with hand-wiped stain is a plus.
  
• Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds.
  
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and twist throughout the shift.
  
• Ability to work 10-hour shifts minimum.
  
• Strong attention to detail and quality.
  
• Ability to communicate effectively, define problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions with all levels of the organization and team.
  
• Ability to apply an artistic talent and touch to hand-wiping stain on door system parts.
  
• Ability to read paperwork, interpret instructions, and exercise good judgment.
  
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
  
• Ability to analyze and solve problems.
