Radiologic Technologist Clinic Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist Clinic to join our team at Mercy Health. As a Radiologic Technologist Clinic, you will be responsible for providing high-quality laboratory and radiology services to patients, including collecting clinical data for use in patient diagnosis and treatment.
Responsibilities- Perform high-quality x-ray exams using the best techniques and proper positioning.
- Deliver lab and x-ray results to authorized personnel as required.
- Assist patients in whatever capacity is required, making sure to explain preparations and procedures.
- Use PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System) appropriately, minimizing errors.
- Properly set up lab and x-ray equipment for the day, maintaining a clean and orderly work area.
- Maintain current validation and perform waived and moderate complexity laboratory testing using manual reagents, kits, and instruments.
- Follow laboratory procedures and policies to assure test accuracy and to meet accreditation requirements.
- Communicate with laboratory facilitator regarding concerns and issues.
- Perform electrocardiogram tracing twelve lead, rhythm strip, and pacemaker, pediatric.
- Perform venipunctures, micro collection, to obtain blood specimens from babies, children, and adults.
- Collect all specimens (blood, urine, sputum, etc.) appropriately handling specimens after collection.
- Transfer patient test requests from scripts, requisitions, and verbal orders into the HIS, clinic, and laboratory computer systems to generate lists, labels, and billing information.
- Perform computer and clerical functions involved in testing process.
- Run daily reports.
- Accurately use basic functions of computer applications and software packages.
- Maintain adequate lab and x-ray supplies.
- Assist other departmental staff as time and skills permit.
- Graduate of an accredited limited scope radiography program.
- Meet the ARRT examination requirements of chest, extremity, skull/sinus, and spine.
- Experience as a radiographer preferred.
- ARRT Limited Scope of Practice in Radiography Examination (Preferred).
- IEMA-DNS IEMA-DNS Limited Radiography- Chest Extremity Skull/Sinus Spine.
- Approved CPR or BLS certification required within 90 days.
The employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
The employee is frequently required to climb or balance. The employee is occasionally required to sit and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
